See for yourself!

I wish I had a nickel for every time someone made some sort of negative comment to me about our "Family Business".  Too many times have I come across someone, whether it is biological family, friends, (military) co-workers, or strangers on the street that I talk with that just doesn't understand why we love what we do so much. We have met people from all walks of life from coast to coast and everything in between that we gladly call family. We spend multiple weeks a year at different trainings with these family members around the World. We started this journey with Scentsy 3 1/2 years ago and have already been to Denver CO, Walt Disney World, Rivera Maya Mexico, Fort Worth TX, Charlotte NC, Richmond VA, Punta Cana D.R., Las Vegas, Boise ID, and soon to be Costa Rica in May 2013, all because of Scentsy. THIS WAS THE BEST $99 I EVER SPENT!!!!!!!
Here is a video of Mexico last year. See for yourself why we love what we do and the people we get to do it with!!!!!!!!!

WILL YOU CROSS THAT LINE?

CROSS: (verb) 1. To move from one side to the other.
       2. To pass over mediocrity.
With everything there is a line. On one side there is a chance of great/good things happening. On this side you will find people like Steve Jobs, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Brady, Bill Gates, Serena Williams, people who have done good and great things. On the other side of the line you can find things that are no so good. Your chances of becoming successful on that side are less and less. With every line you have a choice, you want to cross that line. When you do this you will find that you will have better results, relationships, more responsibility, and overall, a better life. if you don't cross that line you tend to just settle.
Almost every time you approach that line you will find challenges, setbacks. It may seem that every time you approach that line you find something pushing you backward away from that line. But these are just lessons that make you stronger, better prepared in life for those more difficult, more challenging obstacles in the future. I know that when the time come when you are facing your line, you may not think of this as a challenge for future obstacles, you may even look at the line as if it were a wall. But it is not, it is just a line. A line that you drew in the sand, a line that you WANT to cross! But only you can decide, only you can make that CHOICE....
But then you will come across those people. Oh yes, those people who have decided not to cross that line either and would love nothing more than for you to stay with them on their side of the line. They may sprinkle in a little doubt, withhold some encouragement that would give you a little push over that line or maybe say something to keep you from stepping over that line. Sometimes they may even be more direct about it and simply step right in front of you, blocking you from crossing. Sometime even you will say something to prevent you from crossing that line. Sometimes even you don't think you can reach the goals you set for yourself. (WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!!!!! THEY ARE YOUR OWN GOALS)!!!!!!
     You may get to the point where you don't know how to cross that line. You know it is there but every time you get close to it you seem to loose sight of it and back up, scared to cross it. You ask how? How do I cross that line? Well I will tell you;
     1) Choose to commit. Commit to go beyond average. Don't just settle for anything, go for the stars. Reach for what you once set out for and Commit to achieving it.
     2) Work Hard. Good things are very rarely cheap. Put in the hard work, you get what you pay for. There is no quick fix, no magic pill. It takes hard work and dedication. You need to earn your rewards. Always look for that extra step that you can go to reach your goals.
     3) Focus. Eliminate distractions, don't waste time and energy on people or things that do not help you achieve that goal or fulfill that need. Focus on what will get you there.
     4) Be Resilient. Learn from your mistakes and challenges and remember your choice to cross the line and make things happen for yourself.
I know these things are not easy but they are simple and only you can make the choice to cross that line. You are responsible for your own results, despite the challenges you are faced with. It doesn't matter what people say. Every single one of us has had our own challenges. We have all had family members not believe, friends not support us in our journey, onlookers bring negativity into our path, blocking us from our line but it is time for us to cross our line. The choice is yours.........

Are you lost?

A man was traveling and stopped at an intersection. He asked an elderly man, "Where does this road take me?" The elderly man asked, "Where do you want to go?" The man replied, "I don't know." The elderly man then said, "Take any road. What difference does it make?"

How true is this! When we don't know where we want to go, any road will take us there. This is why goals are so important. Whether it be in your Scentsy, Velata, Grace Adele business or in your personal life, you have to have goals and know where you are going or where you want to be. Sometimes we get lost in that journey, and that is 100% OK. It is OK to sometimes stop and ask for directions (despite what I tell Cristalena while we are driving in circles for hours). When you do stop in life and decide that you need directions, you need to make sure you know where it is you wish to be. And most importantly, you need to ask someone who knows how to get you there. Don't spend your time asking people who are lost themselves. That is just like the old saying, "The blind leading the blind".
Start today and make a map for your journey. Just like any road trip, plan your pit stops. Know where each checkpoint is going to be and as you continue on your journey make sure you hit each one. Before you know it, you WILL be at your destination!!!!

What is the potential here?

Many years ago two salesmen were sent by an American shoe manufacturer to Africa to investigate and report back on market potential.
The first salesman reported back, "There is no potential here - nobody wears shoes."
The second salesman reported back, "There is massive potential here - nobody wears shoes."

Here is a perfect short story to show you that there are different ways to view things. Much like the glass being half full or half empty. Sometimes when you first look at something and see fault in it, move away and approach from a different angle, you might see something you never did the first time.
Don't spend your time focusing on the negative things in your business or life, spend them wisely on the positive things. If you do this then you will clearly see the opportunities and benefits, not the disadvantages!

Is your life too full? Depends how you fill it!

Way too often do we hear people "claim" that their life is too full and they don't have time for the things that matter. Actually, quit often it is us making these statements. I guess this is true in some cases, I would never tell anyone that they are not busy, but I would like to put things into a different perspective for you all to see. Some of you may have seen this already and if you have then please read it again, it may open your eyes a little bit.

A Professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front

of him.  When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and
empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.  He then
asked the students if the jar was full.  They agreed that it was.

So the Professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the
jar.  He shook the jar lightly.  The pebbles rolled into the open areas
between the golf balls.  He then asked the students again if the jar was
full.  They agreed it was.

The Professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.  Of
course, the sand filled up everything else.  He asked once more if the jar
was full.  The students responded with an unanimous "Yes."

The Professor then produced two cans of beer from under the table and
poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty
space between the sand.  The students laughed.

"Now," said the Professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to
recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things - your family, your children, your
health, your friends, your favorite passions - things that if everything
else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house,
your car.  The sand is everything else - the small stuff."

"If you put the sand into the jar first", he continued, "there is no room
for the pebbles or the golf balls.  The same goes for life. If you spend all
your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the
things that are important to you.  Pay attention to the things that are
critical to your happiness.  Play with your children.  Take time to get
medical checkups.  Take your partner out to dinner.  Play another 18.  There
will always be time to clean the house, and fix the disposal.  Take care of
the golf balls first, the things that really matter.  Set your priorities.
The rest is just sand."

When he had finished, there was a profound silence.  Then one of the
students raised her hand and with a puzzled expression, inquired what the
beer represented.

The Professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked.  It just goes to show you that no
matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of
beers."

I hope this may have opened your eyes a little wider like it has ours. Let's not be in such a hurry to fill our jars of life, if we do then we might just fill it with the sand first. Start today, empty your jar, grab all the balls first and place them back inside. Once you have all the balls back in your jar add the pebbles, then the sand, and then top it off with what ever it is that you enjoy doing.
